Season Round-Up, 2021-22

Cannons have been back for a whole season since the Covid-19 lockdowns, and what a season it has been! We travelled near and far to play the sport we love, and enjoyed every minute of it! Check out how each of our teams did in the leagues for season 2021-22.

Development Training

Our Development training has continued to grow throughout the year, and we are so proud of the growth and dedication of our players. With the addition of a monthly tournament night, players were able to use their skills in short games to earn team points. A great way for them to apply their new volleyball knowledge and practice teamwork!

National League Results – Women 1 & Men 1

The National League season has wrapped up for our Women 1 and Men 1 teams this year, and with some outstanding results! For the first time ever, Men 1 has taken first place in Division 3! The men’s team worked incredibly hard and earned a well-deserved spot on top. Our Women 1 team ended up placing in 7th in Division 3, and with a record amount of 5 set matches! Regional League – Women 2 & Men 2

Our Women 2 and Men 2 wrapped up after a great season for both teams. With epic rallies, hard-fought points and incredible improvement from our newer members. Women 2 fought hard until the end and came 2nd in the East Midlands league, and Men 2 finished 4th- a great season all round!

Local League – Mixed A & Mixed B

We have so enjoyed the opportunity to have two local league teams this year. Mixed A and Mixed B have both done incredibly well. It’s been wonderful watching the growth of our new players as they bond with their teams. Mixed A and B came 4th and 5th overall in the Lincolnshire local league, so a huge well done to all!
